If you've never worked with a copywriter before, you may wonder why you need one. You may mistakenly believe that your business has enough exposure from current customers that share positive experiences about you and your company.
In today's competitive world, it takes a bit more than posting an open sign and using word of mouth advertising to connect with your customers.
The Importance of Unique Content
Unique and insightful content can help you to build that connection. A carefully crafted online presence helps you to establish your authority and credibility while you earn their trust and respect.
Of course, it's certainly true that you could create all of this content yourself, but you should take a moment to think about what content creation means.
Crafting an Online Presence
At a minimum, you will need a company website, sales copy and landing pages for your products and services, as well as a blog. Optimally, you will also brand your business across several social media platforms where you will need content to post. While you are posting, you will also need to share, like, pin and tweet in an effort to connect with your current and prospective clients.
All of your original content must also be search engine optimized (SEO), so that you are separate and distinct from all of the hundreds or thousands of other similar businesses that are also online. Attention must be paid to ensure that your content uses local SEO so that you receive relevant hits from your target audience, and you must ensure that the design of your site and content is optimized for display on mobile platforms in addition to traditional PCs and laptops. Your digital image and online presence will reflect the content that you post and the way that you post it: it must inform, connect, stand out and be accessible.
In addition to creating accessible content that informs, connects and stands out, you will somehow need to find the time to sit down and write all of this content. These tasks are in addition to handling the daily operation of your business and any demands that may come from your personal life.
Even if you are technically savvy and have a way with words, you probably don't have the time or energy to sit down and write.Sometimes, its hard to find just the right words to express your thoughts and feelings, even when you aren't pressed for time.
Are You Tired of Wearing Too Many Hats?
This way, your copywriter will do what they do best - create the content for you - while you get back to doing what you do best - running your business.
